ILLER Electric Mfg. Co. is un-

veiling the Shopmate 300 DX

to meet a number of needs for

large-scale farmers and ranchers.

The new machine uses single-phase

230/460/575 VAC and allows the user to

switch between MIG, ﬂ ux cored, Stick

and TIG welding by turning a process

selector switch and using the right ac-

cessories. A companion MIG-only model

is the Shopmate 300.

Both machines have a range of 5 to

400 amps (250 amps at 60% duty-cycle

use) and feature Miller’s arc-control

circuitry that has previously only been

found on more expensive three-phase

machines.

Miller ofﬁ cials says the new line ad-

dresses agriculture’s need for many

forms of welding in a budget-conscious

manner.

Both welders are equipped with a

10-pin connector for direct hookup of

15- and 30-amp spool guns, and a 14-pin

connector for Miller wire feeders and

accessories, such as remote amperage

controls for TIG welding.

The Shopmate series also features a

line voltage compensator that allows a

steady, predictable arc despite changes

in input voltage of up to 10%.

MILLER ELECTRIC’S new Shopmate

300 DX and 300 feature multipurpose

welding capability and single-phase

power requirements for 230/460/575

VAC. The Shopmate 300 DX supports

MIG, TIG, Stick and ﬂ ux-core wire

welding with the turn of a selector

switch.

MASSEY FERGUSON’S new MF 1560

sports a 60-horsepower engine with

expanded work capabilities, a larger

chassis and expanded three-point hitch

capacities.

ASSEY Ferguson has expanded its

compact-tractor line with the new

MF 1560, which boasts a larger chassis,

heavier rear end and expanded hitch

capacities over competitive models.

Armed with a 59.1-horsepower diesel

engine in four-wheel-drive platform

or cab models, the 1560 comes with a

12x12 power-shuttle transmission or

a DynaQPS four-range clutchless-shift

gearbox with 12 forward and reverse

speeds. Both options come with two hy-

draulic rear remotes, factory-installed

joystick controller and midcouplers.

The 1560 offers a three-point hitch

capable of lifting 3,748 pounds at the

hitch joint, and it’s compatible with a

wide range of add-ons, including front-

end loaders and backhoe attachments.

An automotive-style dash and dig-

ital-display instrument panel offers safe

and easy operation, and includes a diag-

nostic center to keep track of all tractor

functions.

Glass-enclosed cab tractors come

with built-in heating, air conditioning

and radio speakers.
